Huber needles are used in the administration of a variety of IV treatments, for example, chemotherapy or blood transfusions. Huber needles are inserted into ports that are implanted into patients. A variety of patients can benefit from Huber needles, for example, dialysis patients, chemotherapy patients, and patients getting other IV cancer treatments. Huber needles are available in a number of needle lengths and gauges. Huber needles that are used for infusion ports come in lengths from 0.5 inches up to 1.5 inches. These needles come in different diameters ranging from a 21 gauge needle to a 25 gauge needle.
